May Cause Growth is a paid media agency. This policy explains what this website collects, why, who it goes to, and what you can ask us to do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
It covers this website only. Work carried out for a client is governed by the agreement signed with that client, which takes precedence over this page.
§ 09.1What we collect
From the intake form at /apply. Six items, all entered by you: your monthly paid media spend band, brand classification, channels currently running, presenting situation, six-month objective, and your contact details — name, email address, phone number, annual revenue, brand name, website, and an optional free-text note.
On submission our server adds a timestamp and issues a reference number. Nothing else is attached to your answers.
From your browser, automatically. Our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent — as every web server does. These are used for security and to keep the site running, not to build a profile of you.
A spam trap. The form carries a hidden field that no person can see or fill in. Submissions that fill it are discarded as automated. If you are a human, this field never affects you.
§ 09.2What we do not collect
- No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no cookies of any kind. This site sets none.
- No tracking pixels, no session recording, no third-party analytics scripts.
- No fonts loaded from third parties. Typefaces are served from this domain, so visiting the site does not announce you to a font provider.
- No payment details. Nothing on this site takes a payment.
- No health information about any individual. Our clients are clinics and brands; we do not collect, receive, or process patient records through this website.
§ 09.3Why we collect it
To read your enquiry, decide whether we are a fit, and reply to you. A partner reads every submission personally, including the ones we decline. That is the whole purpose.
We do not sell personal information, we do not trade or rent it, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in the form. If we ever want to send you something you did not ask for, we will ask first.
§ 09.4Held in your own browser
While you are part-way through the form, your answers are held in your browser’s session storage so that a refresh does not wipe them. That copy never leaves your device, is cleared when you submit, and is discarded by the browser when you close the tab. Nothing is sent to us until you press submit on the final step.
§ 09.5Who else sees it
A completed form is delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider, and may also be passed to our own customer record system. These providers process the submission on our instructions and for no other purpose.
Some of these providers are outside Australia, chiefly in the United States. Sending us the form involves your information being stored on servers overseas. We choose providers that commit to appropriate protection, but overseas jurisdictions do not always offer the same remedies as Australian law.
Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
§ 09.6How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to twenty-four months, so that we recognise you if you come back, and are then deleted. Enquiries that become engagements are retained for the life of the engagement and for as long afterwards as our tax and record-keeping obligations require.
Server logs are kept on our hosting provider’s standard schedule, which is short. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
§ 09.7Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Submissions are validated on the server, size-limited, and escaped so that text entered in the form cannot execute anywhere it lands. Access to intake email is limited to the people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
§ 09.8Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Write to doctor@maycausegrowth.com and we will answer within a reasonable period, normally thirty days. We will not charge you for asking, and we do not require a particular form of words.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have further rights under your local law — including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to certain processing. Ask us using the same address and we will honour them.
§ 09.9Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first at doctor@maycausegrowth.com. We would rather fix it directly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
§ 09.10Children
This site is directed at businesses, not individuals under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
§ 09.11Changes
If this policy changes in substance, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not make changes retroactive to information already collected without telling you.
§ 09.12Contact
Every question about this policy goes to the same place: doctor@maycausegrowth.com. A person answers it.
The pharmaceutical framing of this website is branding. May Cause Growth is a marketing agency, not a health service provider, and nothing on this site is medical advice or a therapeutic claim. See the terms of use for the full statement.
